  3. Children in public care (Looked After Children) 1. Children living with parents/carers/legal 2. guardians, who demonstrate a commitment to the Sikh faith. Children living with parents/carers/legal 3. guardians, who worship monthly in a tradition of any faith other than Sikh 4. Any surplus places not filled by the above criteria based on distance

  4. Within each category, priority will be given to children in the following order: Children with brothers or sisters in the a) school Distance from home to school b)

  6. Khalsa Primary School - 1. “Supplementary Faith Form (SIF) ”

  7. 1. A Nursery place at Khalsa Primary School does not guarantee a place for Reception the following year. • Parents need to apply for Primary school following the Reception Admissions procedures 2. As Nursery education is non-statutory, there is no right of appeal

  8. 1. The Local Authority’s - “ Common Application Form (CAF) ” Online: www.eadmissions.org.uk 2. Khalsa Primary School - “Supplementary Faith Form (SIF) ”

  9. You will need to complete your local authority form. Forms should be posted or submitted online to the local authority. You must follow the guidance provided by your local authority. You must also complete Khalsa Primary School’s Supplementary Information Form (SIF), If you decide to apply for a place at Khalsa Primary School. The Supplementary Information Form (SIF), must be returned to the school with supporting documents (DOB certificate & 2 proofs of address – council tax, tenancy agreement, child tax benefit, inland revenue etc.)

  11. Get your local priest to complete their part of the form.

  12. This form must be received by 15 th January For both Nursery & Reception Admissions

  14. Collect all the forms from the residents of the London Borough of Ealing. Exchange information with other local authorities (e.g. Hounslow, Hillingdon etc.) Forward details of those who have indicated their preference for a place at Khalsa Primary School. Calculate the distance from the school to the main family home. Check if the child for whom a place is being sought has a brother or sister at Khalsa Primary School

  15. They check the information they have received from: The local authority,  name of the child applying  are in public care  whether they have siblings already in the school  the distance from their home to the school The school ,  submission of SIF and its commitment to the Sikh faith or Other faiths

  16. Make sure the forms are fully completed and signed Make sure you keep to all the deadlines mentioned Provide the correct information and evidence when completing and submitting: the common application form (CAF) and  the supplementary information form (SIF) 

  17. Closing date for applications is 15 January School places offered: 17/18 April
