College Application Process

Early October 2016: The Application process starts. February 1, 2017: Applications received at OCAS by this date will be given equal consideration by the colleges. This is the Earliest Offer Date as well. May 1, 2017: Applicants must confirm their acceptance of an offer of admission to their chosen program through ontariocolleges.ca June 15, 2017: Earliest date that colleges may require payment of tuition fees.

What type of university applicant are you?

OUAC 101 - Applicants must be ALL requirements:

  • You have not attended college or university
  • You have never been out of school for more than seven

consecutive months at any point

  • You have six 4U/M courses, including pre-requisites for

your program. You are provided with a PIN number for the electronic application. Adult H.S. will automatically submit your marks electronically on your behalf.

What type of university applicant are you?

OUAC 105 – You have attended college or university or you have been out of school for more than 7 months in a row at some point. Program pre-requisites, a letter of intent, and copies of previous college or university transcripts must be part of the application. If the student is from outside Canada, additional qualifications in English may be required. All materials must be submitted as hard copies by the student. Contact each university to find out what is required for

  • application. Meet with your AHS counsellor.

✓November 2016: The application process begins ✓January 11, 2017: Latest date to submit completed on-line applications and fees to the OUAC. This is the application deadline! ✓February 3, 2017: Recommended last day to make changes to your application to be eligible for early admission offers. ✓May 26, 2017: Latest date by which you can expect a response from an Ontario university. ✓June 1, 2017: Earliest date by which Ontario universities may require a response to an offer from an Ontario secondary school student.
