Following the final public forum, the attendance zone committee shall develop a final recommendation to present to the Board. Following study and discussion of the attendance zone committee recommendations and consideration of any recommendations from the Superintendent, the Board shall take appropriate action with respect to the establishment of school attendance boundaries.

• 2. Prevent, reduce, and eliminate overcrowding;

• 4. Keep distances traveled by students as short as possible;

• 6. Allow campuses to house students safely and provide adequate

services to all students

• 2. Attempt to assign entire neighborhoods to the same school(s).
• 3. Consider students’ proximity to campuses and promote safe

and reasonable walking zones to encourage healthier students.

• 4. Utilize projected student enrollment and capacity as principle

measures of determining efficient use of educational facilities.

CHANGES:

Large part of Chapa is rezoned to Wallace and Simon to allow for LHS to sit in its own zone. Green Pastures is rezoned from Simon to Chapa. Hometown Kyle, Silverado, Spring Branch rezoned from Wallace to Barton to allow for lower population at Simon and LHS.

• Votes for individual maps will be tallied to determine the

prevailing concept.

• concept. Votes for maps 1, 4, and 6 will be added together to determine the total vote for the CAKE

concept.
