If you earn an A or B student can apply for the community college credit.

  12. West Sound Technical Skills Center • 15 (+) programs that teach skills specific to a technical program. Available for juniors and seniors only. IB Career Program • Complete two IB courses and complete a two year career track program at SK. Completed Junior and Senior year.

Advanced Placement (AP) • College credit possible depending on AP exam scores • Beginning this year – AP Capstone Program – Diploma International Baccalaureate (IB) • Recognized as a premier college readiness program • Rigorous classes required in all disciplines • International mindedness • Program informational meeting April 26 th Running Start • Must qualify with the Accuplacer test or state exams • Earn up to 15 credits per quarter – tuition free • Available for juniors and seniors

SUCEEDING IN 9 TH GRADE Academic Success Everything Counts STUDENTS Most freshmen have a significant amount of homework and a • lot more reading to do. • Develop good study habits. • Come to school. • PASS your classes - GPA – Credits – Freshmen Courses all part of permanent record. Make good choices • PARENTS Monitor progress - Check interim/mid term and semester • report cards and REACH OUT during conference time. • Help your child develop good morning and night time routines and make sure he/she gets enough sleep. Insist on regular attendance. • Monitor your child’s social media. • Using Technology Social Growth

  19. STAY CONNECTED SKYWARD FAMILY ACCESS Use it to: View schedules, grades, report cards, attendance. Get updates on the message board, communicate with teachers, request changes, receive notifications, check graduation requirements, excuse absences. Log in anywhere on our district website that you see the Skyward logo. Download the mobile app on your smartphone. • Be sure to complete the “Annual Verification & Acknowledgment” to ensure your student’s information is accurate.
