Reimbursement Rate Increase

  • Worked with the Actuarial Services Unit of OHA to determine how our PG

rates compared to other rates (Medicaid, CCO, etc.)

  • It was determined that our rates were a bit low.
  • Some procedures will be increased starting July 1, 2017
  • More information and new rate sheet to be developed in June.
  • This does not mean that contracts gets more treatment funding, as most

treatment providers have not been encountering for their allocations.

  • By increasing rates, subcontractors will get a better reimbursement if they

are on a fee for service system and at a statewide level our expenditure rate will increase and it will appear that we are using a greater level of our funds to treat the client.

Conclusions

45

1. Efficiencies of Scale: larger programs were more likely to have dedicated family treatment assets and more likely to use 2. Declining enrollments most likely indicative of loss

  • f family treatment assets related to availability

3. No evidence in the gambler data to suggest a decreased need from family treatment 4. Apparent challenge: a) establishing readily available family treatment assets through coordination and cross training b) recruiting recovery support participants (release,

  • utreach, coordinated care)
