1. Apply to MCCC – be sure to DECLARE A MAJOR. 2. Send an OFFICIAL (sealed) copy of your transcript to MCCC. We require transcripts from EVERY school you have attended. This also goes for AP scores. 3. When MCCC receives your transcript, a copy will be sent to be evaluated for the major that you indicate on your transcript. If you list no major, your transcript will sit in a pile of other undeclared transcripts and never be evaluated. 4. Once the faculty advisor is finished with reviewing your transcript, they will indicate which courses you will get credit for and then notify the registrar’s office to post your credits. 5. In order to post credits to your transcript, you MUST be registered for classes. If you have not registered, you will never see your credits posted. *** Your transcript will ONLY be evaluated for the major that you declare on your application. You MUST declare a major and cannot be
“undecided”. If you change your major later, your credits will need to be re- evaluated***

Are you taking the right courses to meet your goals? Not every
course offered is transferable and there are resources available to help you.
Do you have a plan in place to get to your next institution?
What GPA is required? What are the rules? Are there specific courses required that maybe were not required at your previous school?
Realistically, how long do you need to be here? 12 + 12 + 12 + 12 64
If you left your last school due to poor grades, you’ll likely need to stay here at least a year or possibly longer.
