Summer 2015 Project
REMINDER
- Sub-Feeder 1 Outage scheduled for August 1st and August 2nd.
- This outage is to investigate, trouble shoot, test and repair the cause of repeated faults/failures
- n Sub-Feeder 1.
- In order to perform the proper investigation and testing numerous buildings will experience a
complete electrical outage.
Only emergency generator life safety systems will be in operation for the duration of the
- utage.
- During preliminary investigation a faulty splice was identified, this will be first priority on repair
list.
- Additional building level Preventive Maintenance will be performed.
- The duration of this outage is expected to be 8 (eight) hours for a two day period.
- Once the cause is determined a plan for repairs can be developed and scheduled.
If time permits and materials are available, repairs may be able to take place during this outage.
- August 8th and August 9th are scheduled for repairs or backup weekend.

FAQ 2015 Campus Winter Break Electrical Outage
- Cougar feeders 1, 2, 3 provide the main source of power to the Campus via the Power Plant.
- The electrical feeders are the main distribution to the campus and range from 20 to 40 years
- ld.
- The repairs are critical to maintain the electrical integrity to the campus.
- A report by our Insurance carrier provided much needed deficiencies that warrant these
repairs.

Schedule for 2015 FPC Winter Break Electrical Project: The Momementary power disruptions aka, “electrical Blips” will start on Saturday December 26, 2015 and run thru completion on Wednesday December 30, 2015 CGR3 REPAIRS- Start- 5:30AM December 26, 2015 End - 5:30AM December 27, 2015 CGR1 REPAIRS- Start- 5:30AM December 27, 2015 End- 5:30AM December 28, 2015 CGR2- CABLE REPAIR- Start- 5:30AM December 28, 2015 End- 6:00PM December 28, 2015 29 and 30 December are alternate dates as required. This schedule may be adjusted before execution.

In conjunction with the campus wayfinding project, a thorough review of our existing campus addressing was
- initiated. As a result, an addressing grid was established
for the UH campus providing a locatable address for all UH buildings. Reasons for making this change:
- Improving general public safety response to the
campus
- Requirements for 9-1-1 enhanced dispatching
services
- Ability to use maps/navigation applications (GPS)

- n assigning our street addresses and official
