  10. Honor Cords ■ Senior year students are able to apply to earn an honor cord to wear at graduation. ■ Some requirements to earn an honor cord must be met 9 th grade year. ■ Information regarding earning honor cords may be found on the EHS “Guidance/ Enrollments” page.

HONORS COURSES ■ What should I consider? ■ How much time will you spend on homework? ■ How many honors courses should you take in one year? ■ How many extra-curricular activities do you participate in (school and other)? ■ How is the curriculum and rigor different than that of a “challenge” course in middle school? ■ Do you have a great work ethic? Homework is assigned but is not normally for a grade. ■ Do you like to read a lot outside of class? ■ Do you have good higher-level thinking skills? ■ How will you feel if you earn a grade less than an “A”?
