Morning Procedures

Students will enter the building at 7:40. Students will report to designated areas.

6th grade: A Hallway 7th grade: Elective Hallway 8th grade: D Hallway

Other Options: Breakfast; library; tutorials; band (follow expected requirements from directors); athletics (follow team expectations for arrival)

Morning Errands

 All errands must be handled before student reports

to his/her designated area:

 Blue slips – report to front office  dropping off band instruments – enter through front north

  • doors. After 7:55, no one will leave the band room.

 athletic equipment/clothing – only 8th grade Athletics will

drop clothes off first day of the week

 Library – line up in the main hallway by B hall –

Only visit twice in a week. Once students enter their hallway they will not be allowed to leave until the 8:00 bell rings. (take care of business first, includes potty breaks)

Breakfast

Students will get in one of the 2 lines No iPods/electronics ALL students will clean up their table area

prior to exiting the cafeteria

When exiting the cafeteria, students will

use the center doors and head straight to their hallways

NO FOOD/DRINKS MAY LEAVE CAFETERIA

  • You must be in the classroom BEFORE the bell rings to be considered present.
  • Consequences for being tardy to class:
  • 1st Tardy Warning
  • 2nd Tardy Parent Contact
  • 3rd + Tardy Referral to Grade Level AP (consequence ranges from lunch detention, after school

detention, etc.)

General Pass Procedures

  • No passes first and last 10 minutes of class.
  • Student should use the designated restroom based on

clipboard color.

  • Main Hallway Restroom – Green
  • A/B Hallway Restroom – Orange
  • C Hallway Restroom – Yellow
  • Elective Hallway Restroom – Pink
  • Science Hallway – Blue
  • LEAVE pass on floor outside the restroom door – that

allows teachers/AP to know restroom is in use.

Personal Passes

  • Passed out each month (different color every

month)

  • Allows students to leave all classes 4 times a month
  • Used for bathroom or personal reasons (left jacket

in last class, need to get my book, etc…)

  • Students will swap corner for the “Clipboard” pass

(teacher will tear off a corner when you need to use your personal pass)

  • When walking in the hallways a Puma Pass or

Clipboard pass must be visible.

Puma Pass

  • Nurse, principal, office, library, a.m. tutorial, other

extracurricular activities, and errands:

  • Teachers will be notified if students

are abusing this pass

  • All adults will document time

leaving and time returning on the pass

  • One pass issued per student

Appointment with Counselor

  • Students must sign up between classes to see a
  • counselor. (on table located outside their offices

in main office area)

  • The counselor will call for students when

available.

LUNCH EXPECTATIONS

  • 1. All students should come straight in and sit at your assigned table.
  • 2. No students should be going to the line, microwave, restroom, water, or anywhere else

until your section has been called (unless you have a tutorial pass).

  • 3. Students may walk to the microwave, restroom, lunch line, to get water, etc when

their section is called. Once you have your food, you should return to your seat.

  • 4. Once you return to your seat you must raise your hand to get up unless you are

throwing away trash.

  • 5. You should only put your trash in the trash can in your section.

LUNCH EXPECTATIONS

 SHOW your pass to the teacher lunch

monitor/ AP / Counselor: For….

 Lunch Tutorials: Take food & backpack and

report directly to your tutorial session. Trash disposed in hallway trash cans.

Dispose of all food items BEFORE leaving the

  • cafeteria. (color coded trash cans)
  • Blue (plastic/cans) Green (paper/food) Grey (all others)

Walk directly back to class to ensure you’re not tardy from lunch.

Walk quietly in the hallways; other classes may be in session.(stay on the RIGHT side of hallway)

Obey school hallway rules. 
