Thank you for coming to Hamburg! Main goal of the meeting

  • try to find a viable solution for SVD layer 3
  • discussion on possible new ideas started already at last B2GM, but

more thorough investigations are needed

  • hope to be able to do this „on the spot“
  • clearly this is an experiment with so many people in the room
  • of course there are many more questions that also require

detailed discussion

Organistorial matters

  • propose to have lunch in the DESY canteen
  • we propose to have common dinner (not in the DESY bistro)

Between beam pipe and PXD: 1, Beam pipe design:done 2, PXD mechanics design:done 3, PXD cables, pipes:almost done 4, Heavy metal shields: optimizing by BG,cables, PXD-PP All mock-up will send to MPI, then the detail design will be finalized by MPI. (produce by KEK group)

How to optimize service assembly procedure?

My opinion:

  • MPI+DESY group produce one more mock-up.

– Assembly procedure for services are took care by MPI+DESY +LMU+Bonn+Vienna+Krakow groups for outside of heavy metal shield and outer End-flange region

Target:

  • How easy to install those.
  • Faster installation
  • KEK group will take care assembly tables and services

inside of heavy metal shield.

How do you think about this?

On the case of requiring modification of KEK design, Tanaka will take care for each sub-groups

SVD2 Ladder of 1st Layer arrived at DESY

Tsuboyama-san: The ladder looks like this. A test production of the mount block is also included. The ladder is made of plastic parts, ribs made of aluminum and glue tape. I did not use real

  • glue. Therefore it can be broken in the transportation.

When the meeting is over, please pass this to Vienna

  • people. The ladder parts are really cheap but the Kapton

flex costs 1500 Euro each and can be used for the final product.
