To enable and support STEM learning through the formation of cooperative and collaborative relationships with campus and community-based partners through a commitment to STEM learning for: ➢ PreK-16 learners in schools, community agencies, business and corporate contexts, and informal settings; ➢ Professional educators and students in pre-professional programs, in both informal and formal settings; ➢ Learners with exceptional and/or special needs; and, ➢ Inclusion of underrepresented and diverse populations/communities.
Existing STEM units in the Watson College of Education recognized the impact they could make if they collaborated on a larger scale. Together they formed the STEM Learning Cooperative. Although the units intentionally collaborate, each unit continues to have its own mission, goals, staff, etc.
