APA is not a direct party to the Market, Shippers incorporate trade

volumes into aggregated pipeline nominations - contractual changes were required with shippers to give access to additional receipt points

APA has introduced new services to help facilitate the market and

enhance liquidity; – In Pipe Trades – facilitate transfer of title between shippers – Capacity Trading – facilitates operational transfer of contracted firm capacity between Shippers via a secondary trading market – Capacity Trading Website: http://capacitytrading.apa.com.au/

Capacity Trading Overview

All shippers must be signed up to a Gas Transportation Agreement

(GTA)

Only firm forward capacity (MDQ) can be traded RBP and SWQP only Traditional firm forward MDQ will be split into ‘Contract MDQ’ and

‘Operational MDQ’

Capacity Trades must be confirmed 24 hours prior to the start of the

Gas Day.

Minimum of 100 GJ per trade and one day duration Trades can only be entered into APA systems for up to 90 days in

advance

Capacity trades between specified Receipt and Delivery points APA has a public and internal website available for buyers and

sellers of capacity to advertise capacity bids and offers
