Middle ¡and ¡High ¡Schools: ¡CPR ¡ ¡

• Student CPR bills in 11 states passed, requiring CPR training for

students prior to high school graduation.

• Requirement: In TX, at some point between 7th and 12th grades

every graduating student must have had a 30 minute training session in CPR. This can be as simple as Hands-Only CPR instruction or as advanced as a certification course, but the student must practice compressions on a manikin. It is up to each school/ school district to decide in which class to incorporate this training. ¡ ¡ ¡ ¡
