Real Presence Software. The software can be installed on a laptop, mobile phone, or tablet, but does require a Polycom account from UTS. Please contact your Regional Campus Media Services.

  • Connect from a Laptop, Mobile Phone, or

Tablet via a Web Browser. The Polycom Real Presence Cloud Axis can be accessed from the web browser at https://callme.sc.edu. The participant does not need an account because they would be guests on the Employee’s Virtual Meeting Room. This is a great alternative to using Skype to conduct

  • interviews. Please contact your Regional

Campus Media Services for a Virtual Meeting Room. Please contact your Regional Campus Media Services in advance of the meeting if you want tests to be conducted with your participants.

  • Students can participate as

guest, but cannot operate equipment without Employee Permission.

Cost

The Polycom Network and licenses are paid for by USC Columbia UTS. The Codec’s are paid for by your Regional Campus Media Services. UTS does not charge employees to use the Polycom Service. Media Services does not charge employees to use the Polycom Codec, but does charge non employee’s $100 an hour to make a connection to another non employee.
