Professional Obligations ● reasonable belief of abuse ● notice signs of abuse ● consult with leadership ● must disclose/protect 16
Student Disclosures ● calm, appropriate, supportive manner ● do not promise to ‘keep the secret’ ● maintain detailed written records ● report to DHHS 17
Reasonable Grounds ● acts of abuse are disclosed ● you observe signs of abuse ● you are aware of possible harm ● we do not ‘investigate’ 18
