Legal Status of Vaping SFOA

  • Smoke-Free Ontario Act 2017 (SFOA) prohibits vaping in all the same

areas where tobacco smoking is already banned; this includes:

  • Anywhere on school property (indoors and outdoors) and within 20

metres from the perimeter of the schools grounds

  • Additionally, someone caught vaping on school property, as well

as caught selling or supplying vapour products to someone under 19 years can be charged for both offences, totaling $795 or more.
