Town Hall Agenda
We look forward to welcoming our students back to campus.
- The delay in reopening campus is due to unstable internet strength.
- Phasing allows the school to give care and attention to establishing new
routines with precision for teachers and students alike.
- We are opening our doors to 11th and 12th Grade Students on
Wednesday, September 16th. We are doing this because 1. Our internet bandwidth situation allows for a smaller group of students to be present on campus. 2. We want our school’s leaders to be the first ones on campus.

up in the hallway before entering a classroom.

Other Preventative Measures
- Hand sanitizer is placed throughout
the building.
- We have installed higher grade air
filters in HVAC units.
- The building is disinfected nightly
and our cleaning crew is constantly cleaning throughout campus during the school day.
Home Screening
We will start each day with the following measures to keep everyone safe and healthy by preventing Covid from coming to campus:
○ Home Temperature Screening ■ There will not be routine temperature checks done on campus. ○ Home Symptom Screening ■ If your student is exhibiting symptoms that are abnormal please keep him or her home. Home Screening Guidelines will be sent in advance of the Brick & Mortar start date.
Response to Covid on Campus
What happens if a student begins to experience symptoms while at school.
- The student will be sent to a wall-mounted, no touch thermometer station
located in multiple places throughout the building.
- This will play a part in determining if they are sent to the nurse’s station or our
supervised CARE room.
○ Our C.A.R.E. Room (Covid-Assessment-Response-Evaluation) is a room separate from the nurse’s clinic and will be supervised by a well-trained faculty member.
- If sent to the C.A.R.E. Room, the nurse will then assess and determine if the
student’s symptoms are consistent with COVID-19.
○ If the symptoms are consistent with COVID-19, the parents will be called to pick up their student as quickly as possible. ○ If not consistent with COVID-19, the nurse will proceed in the usual manner to address the ailment.
Response to Covid on Campus
The list of symptoms is very broad, causing us to send home more students than the past, but this is done to keep our scholars and teachers healthy.
Symptoms List:
- Temperature > 1000
- Shaking or exaggerated
shivering
- Loss of taste or smell
- Cough
- Nausea or vomiting
- Headache

Response to Positive Tests
What happens if a student has a positive test or suspected positive Covid case?
- Student or staff that are COVID-19 positive or Suspected Positive
Cases are required to quarantine for 10 days from the onset of symptoms. ■ until they have a negative COVID-19 test or ■ an alternate diagnosis from a doctor is found and symptoms have lessened significantly·
- If a student is confirmed positive by a lab test and they are
asymptomatic, they will still be required to quarantine for 10 days. ○ The 10 days begins the day you were tested for COVID-19.
Response to COVID
For students who have been in close contact with individuals with a lab-confirmed COVID positive case. ○ You will be notified within the day if there is a lab-confirmed COVID positive case in your student’s section. If not notified directly with a phone call, no further action is necessary, as your child was not identified as a Close Contact. ○ If your student is determined to be Close Contact, you will receive a phone call from either Nurse Nolte or Mr. Malone, the Campus COVID Response Coordinator. ○ Close Contact Individuals are required to quarantine for 14 days. ○ If your child is exposed to a COVID-19 positive individual outside of school, the student will need to stay home and quarantine for 14 days. ○ During this time, the school will work with you to move your student into Distance Learning.
Distance Learning
We remain committed to a robust online learning experience for our distance learners.
Distance Learning Updates in Response to Parent Feedback:
- Teachers are collaborating by grade to better balance daily screen
time each week
- To increase interaction between students and teachers, students
may have more short Zoom classes in place of recorded instructional videos.
Schedule & Club Updates
- Because of COVID restrictions, clubs will not meet 1st quarter.
The district will determine at a later date whether we can safely
- ffer clubs 2nd quarter.
- All clubs will be extracurricular this year (i.e. they will be optional
and meet outside of the regular school day).
- Since we are moving the club period outside of the regular school
day, we will no longer run a Thursday/Friday Block schedule beginning the week of September 21st.
Distance Learning Schedule
- Monday - Thursday the schedule of classes will be the same as
the previous Monday-Wednesday schedule.
- On early release Fridays, students will now attend all classes for
an abbreviated time.
