  • For most COVID-19 cases, isolation/precautions can be

discontinued 10 days after symptom onsetand resolution of fever for at least 24 hours (without fever-reducing meds).

  • For asymptomatic cases, isolation/precautions can be

discontinued 10 days after the date of the first positive test.

  • For previous symptomatic COVID-19 cases, retesting is not

recommended within 3 months after the date of symptom

  • nset for the initial COVID-19 infection.

  • CDC does not currently recommend that K-12 schools

conduct universal symptom screenings.

  • Parents or caregivers strongly encouraged to monitor their

children for signs of infectious illness every day.

  • Students who are sick should not attend school.
  • The overlap between COVID-19 symptoms and other

common illnesses means that many people with symptoms

  • f COVID-19 may be ill with something else.
