Tissue Engineering & Regen Med
Tissue Engineering: to create functional constructs and models that restore, maintain,
- r model damaged tissues or whole organs
and allow us improve health
Increasingly Refined Solutions for Increasingly Complex Problems
The Main in Philosophy…
Linking Tissue Engineering, Regenerative Medicine, Biophotonics and Biomaterials
- An understanding of the most
significant areas of biomedical and translational research, including new therapeutic applications.
- Develop scientific research skills
in the field of tissue engineering that includes strategies to develop and evaluate biomaterials, cell- biomaterial interaction and imaging modalities
The Course Structure
Focused on Research
Tissue Engineering and Research Methods (45 credits)
Lectures on relevant and cutting-edge technologies by the researchers developing them
Innovation Technology (15 credits)
Acquire the entrepreneurial and technology brokering skills necessary to start a career in R&D and Pharma or turn your research into a biomedical product
Research Training Project (30 credits)
Be ready to tackle real-world experimental projects and have all the technical skills to undertake a lab rotation
Tissue Engineering and Biophotonics Research Project (90 credits)
A real long-term research project in an interdisciplinary field hosted by a state-of-the art lab on campus
Research Pr Project ct
- From week 2 onwards the MRes
student will join one of our research team and then begin later on a full- time research project
