Training team

Brussels – May 12 th 2016

Developers Training team End users Aims:

  • To assist end-users with the use of MD-Paedigree’s Infostructure.
  • To assist with the development of the plaworm based on users’ needs

Objec?ves:

  • To work closely with both end-users and plaworm (soxware) developers.
  • All comments, concerns and issues to be understood and responded to.

Training team

Brussels – May 29th 2015

Important to men?on:

  • Original scope of training ac?vity has been significantly expanded:
  • More training sessions than originally planned
  • More Interac?ons with both developers and end-users

Ongoing Tasks: Suppor?ng both ends by

  • Gathering concerns/issues via mee?ngs, anonymous ques?onnaires, etc.
  • One-to-one tutorials
  • Daily monitoring the plaworm and repor?ng errors/issues
  • Arranging agile sessions with the developers
  • Providing user-friendly tutorials

Future plans:

  • Mul?ple examples will be uploaded on the plaworm to assist end users (videos)
  • Addi?onal training session will be announced

Three Mee?ngs so far: Utrecht

Brussels – May 12 th 2016

A session (September 2014) was commenced in Utrecht which covered General tasks such as

  • Crea?ng accounts
  • Cohort browser
  • Similarity search
  • Query wizard, management and visualisa?on
  • File sharing
  • Ques?onnaire was given

Axer the session, the ques?onnaires were assessed and reviewed by both the training team and the developers; thus, both concerns and sugges?ons were addressed and implemented where necessary.

Three Mee?ngs so far: Crete

Brussels – May 12 th 2016

A mee?ng was held in Crete (October 2015) which covered several demos on each tools;

  • Case based retrieval (CBR): The demo showed the possible state of the plaworm

wherein the PCDR data was mainly explored.

  • Data cura?on and valida?on (DCV): The demo showed how to look through the data

sets and correct any possible errors or have a beUer visualisa?on over the data

  • Data anonymiser (by Gnubila): the demo illustrated how to eliminate the pa?ents

iden?fying data (Such as name address, etc)

  • CaseReasoner: Showed an interac?ve route to find similari?es among pa?ents

In the end, the users provided feedback on the demos shown. The comments were assessed and addressed prior to the next training event.

Three Mee?ngs so Far: Rome

Brussels – May 12 th 2016

February 2016 A hands-on training session was performed in Rome which covered the main aims and objec?ves of each tool with the goal of helping the users to start exploring and using each tool.

Case based retrieval (CBR):

Ø The service helps physicians to find similar pa?ents based on the discharge synthesis of a given pa?ent. Ø The service proposes a summary of the returned cases of similar pa?ents at different points in ?me.

slide-20
SLIDE 20

Details: Rome mee?ng

Brussels – May 12 th 2016

Data cura?on and valida?on (DCV): Ø An automa?c data cleaning process Ø To troubleshoot the imported data Ø To detect numerical outliers, missing values, alphanumeric typographical and logical errors.

slide-21
SLIDE 21

Details: Rome mee?ng

Brussels – May 12 th 2016

CaseReasoner:

Ø Case Reasoner is a flexible and interac?ve tool that provides decision support through similarity search. Ø Currently, it is targe?ng the Cardiovascular Disease Risk in Obese Children and Adolescents disease group Ø To do a similarity search within pa?ents Ø To visualise their 3D geometry i.e. heart

slide-22
SLIDE 22

Details: Rome mee?ng

Brussels – May 12 th 2016

CaSiReView:

Ø To browse and visualise the simula?on results. Ø Browse modeling results for all pa?ents Ø Inspect LV volumes Ø Inspect LV pressures Ø Inspect LV EF Ø Inspect LV SV Ø Inspect cardiac movement over a heart cycle Ø To report poten?al issues Ø Analyse cohort sta?s?cs

Lessons learnt

Brussels – May 12 th 2016

Ø Comments and concerns were discussed during the training

sessions Ø Some of the comments were immediately addressed during the training sessions Ø The feedback was analysed thoroughly, and was addressed and dealt with Ø Sugges?ons from the end users were implemented Ø The most current/updated version of each tool will be online and ready to access Ø The future version will include all the comments, concerns and sugges?ons discussed during the hands-on training sessions
