History of the Lake: Our office has been

treating this account for 10 months. Lake 5 has a reoccurring problem with Chara and Algae; there has been a “rinse and repeat” cycle for the entire time we have treated it. The 34 other lakes on site have been treated and cleaned up, but Lake 5 has remained

• problematic. We have used different variations of

algaecides to control the Chara and Algae, with poor results only on Lake 5. Once treated, the Chara dies and mats on the surface. This causes algae and new Chara growth underneath.

On October 24th, I photographed Lake 5 to document its poor

• condition. The lake was full of Filamentous Algae and topped
• ut Chara.

I decided to use Pondzilla and Aquasticker in my treatment plan, as other solutions used in the prior 10 months had been unsuccessful. In only 19 days, the lake has improved drastically! The use of Pondzilla and Aquasticker has made the Chara and Algae dissipate and die surprisingly fast.
