Angas Zinc Mine – Quarterly Environment Report

No non-compliances against lease Conditions for Quarter 1, 2018

Correction to QER

No non-compliance against PM10 Outcome Measurable Criteria

Review: “ PM10 dust levels collected from the HiVol PM10 sampler located at the visitors viewing area (Figure 44 - same location as the HiVol sampler), will be sampled over a 24hour period every six days as per AS , 3580.9.3:2003 standards. Data will demonstrate compliance with NEPM 1998 criteria of <50 micrograms/ m3 per 24 hour period with <5 days exceedances per year.”

Terramin still conducted investigation as to why

Benefits for Australia

Fossil Plant Replacement

  • Repurpose decommissioned thermal plants and defer

remediation costs

  • Re-use of existing interconnection and infrastructure
  • Synchronous generation for reliability, without emissions

Transmission Deferral

  • Non-wires alternatives to defer grid network investment
  • Alleviates grid congestion during peak periods
  • Locatable reliable power for critical areas and infrastructure

Renewable Integration

  • Provide dispatchable, base loaded renewables
  • Optimize solar/wind project economics through time-shifting
  • Reduce curtailment

Mines / Large Industrial

  • Ability to eliminate fuel costs & logistics (off-grid)
  • Improve reliability and reduce electricity grid charges (on-grid)
  • Re-use legacy mining infrastructure
