Dufferin Aggregates is committed to having a CLC for the life of the Teedon Pit. New approvals will be topics also discussed at the CLC until decisions are made by approval agencies.

Existing Teedon Pit Process 1: Renewal PTTW Process 2: Extension Lands

All approvals (MNRF/County/Township) are in place to operate the pit. Approval process ongoing for PTTW renewal and extension lands.

May 2017 as a result of purchasing K J Beamish

  • The site is licensed under the

Aggregate Resources Act

  • Licensed area: 85.45 ha
  • Area to be extracted: 76.39 ha
  • Maximum annual tonnage limit:

600,000 tonnes

  • The Teedon Pit is identifed in the

County of Simcoe Official Plan, Township of Tiny Official Plan and Zoning by-law as an approved land use.

■ Provide, encourage and facilitate two-way communication. ■ Committee members are encourages to share information

with other community stakeholders, as well as bring feedback and comments from the community to the meetings.

■ Committee members suggest topics of discussion at

meetings, based on their interests and needs and topics will be selected by consensus.

■ Dufferin will bring in staff and/or specialists to discuss each

topic as required.

Meeting Protocol

■ A third-party facilitator will moderate the CAP meetings;

minutes will be taken by a member of the facilitation team; meetings will also be digitally recorded to help prepare the minutes and they will be deleted once the minutes are

  • approved. Theses recordings will not be publically available.

■ CLC members will have an opportunity to contribute to the

content of the agenda.

■ Meetings are open to the public to a maximum of 6 people.

Those who wish to attend will be public observers and must pre-register with Dufferin Aggregates prior to the meeting and will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.

■ All meeting materials, including minutes, agendas,

PowerPoint presentations, Terms of Reference and others will be considered draft until approved by the CLC and will be posted on Dufferin Aggregates website.

Meetings will take place at a date and time agreed upon by Committee members.
