Team Registration

To be considered for State Premiership your team had to have registered with an Illinois Youth Soccer league (IWSL, CIYSL, SLYSA-IL or YSSL). You register all players and get player cards thru that member league. You use those league players passes during State Premiership play.

Scheduling Games

State Premiership Teams are responsible for self-scheduling each of their

  • matches. Illinois Youth Soccer has created a schedule which you can find in

your GotSoccer account. To schedule your matches you should: 1. Contact your opponent via phone or email – See Slide 7 for contact info 2. Mutually agree on a date, time and location 3. Email finalized game info to ilstatepremiership@gmail.com NO LATER THAN April 1. DO NOT INCLUDE IYSA STAFF ON BACK AND FORTH COMMUNICATIONS ABOUT POTENTIAL GAMES. ONLY SEND IYSA FINAL GAME DETAILS If playing a Premiership opponent in State Cup, MRL or another US Youth Soccer approved tournament, the game can double count as long as both teams agree. Email must be received by Illinois Youth Soccer with both teams CC’d on the email stating they both agree to double counting a match.

Scheduling Games

Once you have finalized details on a match, the HOME team should email the following details to ilstatepremiership@gmail.com no later than April 1. Team names (both) & age group

  • 1. Date of match
  • 2. Time of match
  • 3. Specific location of match (address & field #)

TEAMS MUST HAVE THEIR SCHEDULE COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED TO THE ILLINOIS YOUTH SOCCER OFFICE NO LATER THAN APRIL 1. Failure to meet the scheduling deadline may result in per day fines to BOTH clubs

Scheduling Games

Although team schedules are due to the Illinois Youth Soccer office by APRIL 1, teams are allowed unlimited game changes. To get a game changed after the April 1 schedule deadline teams must do the following no later than 72-hrs prior to the originally scheduled match:

  • Email chrisj@illinoisyouthsoccer.org a new agreed

upon date, time and location that BOTH teams agree

  • n. Representatives from BOTH teams should be

included on the email. NO GAME CHANGES WILL BE ALLOWED WITHOUT THIS INFORMATION. Games cancelled by teams without emailing this information may result in a forfeit.

Scheduling Games

All matches should be completed no later than June 10 to match other leagues. Teams that DO NOT complete all matches may be removed from consideration for future Premiership seasons and/or dropped from final ranking results, including loss of Cup seeds

Premiership Referees

The Illinois Youth Soccer assignors will assigns ALL 3 REFS FOR ALL PREMIERSHIP GAMES. State Referee Assignor Info Clubs will have a specific ref assignor handling their ref assigning for the State

  • Premiership. Contact info for them was included in a previous email sent to
  • you. If you have any last minute changes, cancellations or referee no-shows

for your match, you should contact the Illinois Youth Soccer referee assignor

  • directly. Failure to contact the proper state assignor for any last minute

game cancellations will incure an $80 fine. REFEREE FEES : 12U: BOTH TEAMS pay $50 at field to the center prior to the match 13U & Older: BOTH teams pay $80 at field to the center prior to the match starting

Premiership Roster

Teams are allowed to use any player from within their club that is registered with an Illinois Youth Soccer competitive league for State Premiership play. Those leagues are: CIYSL, ILLOWA, IWSL, SLYSA or YSSL. All players must have a US Youth Soccer/ IYSA Competitive affiliated league pass from and rostered thru one of the Illinois Youth Soccer affiliated member leagues listed above. Players from another club are NOT allowed to play for your team.

Premiership Roster

All players that will compete in the State Premiership must be entered into GotSoccer in the

  • fficial State Premiership roster.

Gameday

Teams are required to bring the following to all State Premiership Games: 1. Gamecard printed off GotSoccer. Click here for a video on how to print your gamecard 2. Player and Coaching Passes 3. Appropriate Referee Fees – See slide 8 22 PLAYERS ARE ALLOWED TO DRESS ON GAMEDAYS. ALL PLAYERS NOT PLAYING SHOULD BE CROSSED-OFF THE GAME CARD

Gameday

At the conclusion of the match the WINNING TEAM (or home team if a draw) should submit the score to Illinois Youth Soccer 1. Emailing katie@illinoisyouthsoccer.org a scanned copy of the gamecard 2. Fax gamecards to 847-290-1576 3. Submitting score via the call-in GotSoccer system. If a red card is issued during the match, the center will keep the gamecard to submit with the red card report. Red cards = fines and suspensions for players ($50) and coaches ($300). Players and coaches are REQUIRED to sit out their at least next Premiership match following a red card. Any team that uses a player that should be serving a red card suspension will forfeit the match and may be subject to additional sanctions. Teams may keep the pass for the player or coach that receives a red card

State Premiership Rules Of Note

Here are some State Premiership rules to be aware of. Complete State Premiership rules are posted online: Game Length Game lengths match the game lengths of the State Cup and Presidents Cup . Unfinished Match

  • U12 – U14: Halftime : A match is considered played in full

if the match cannot continue in the referee’s decision and the first half has been completed in full

  • 60-minute mark for U15-U18

Overtime: NO OVERTIME Substitution: Unlimited Substitution. There shall be no limit on the number of substitutions. Substitutions can be made at the following times with the consent of the referee:

  • Prior to a throw-in in your teams favor
  • Prior to a goal kick by either team
  • After any goal
  • At half-time

Starting Game:

  • 15-minute grace period should be allowed – IF GOING TO

BE LATE CALL THE COACH

  • No fewer than 7 players to start a match

NO CASTS Concussions, Neck & Back Injuries: In compliance with the new Illinois Concussion law, any athlete who receives a concussion, neck or back injury will not be allowed to return to play or practice until he/she is evaluated and receives and submits to the player’s team coach written clearance from a licensed medical doctor specializing in concussions. It is the responsibility

  • f the team coach to submit the clearance to the IYSA prior to

the injured player’s next SPD game.

SIDELINE BEHAVIOR BY COACHES & FANS ARE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION FOR PREMIERSHIP SELECTIONS. A TEAM MAY BE REMOVED FROM STATE PREMIERSHIP PLAY SHOULD CONTINUED POOR SIDELINE BEHAVIOR OCCUR.
