Vision: 2020 Marathon “start the long run for a green future” means:

• Rational Use of Energy (RUE) increase more than 20%;
• Renewable Energy Sources (RES) increase more than 20%;
• CO2 emissions decrease more than 20%;

Targets:

Bucharest District 1 Sustainable Energy Action Plan – local level coherent measures and actions to reach 2020 European objectives include the following

• bjectives for 2020:

Objective 1: RUE increase by 26,6% Objective 2: RES increase by 20,1% Objective 3: CO2 emissions decrease by 24,1%

 Total investment 347 mil euro  839 buildings of flats have been rehabilitated  45,553 flats - the average surface is 66 m2/ flat.

 New buildings to be rehabilitated: 200 - 250  It will be achieved the target set by the municipality to rehabilitate all the eligible blocks in the district  Decrease of heating consumption by approx. 45%  Decrease of CO2 emissions by approx. 40%  All rehabilitated buildings will have a heating energy consumption below 100 kWh/m2/year  In the next period will start the thermal rehabilitation works for another 200 buildings, which have had their technical and economic indicators approved, total - EUR 40 million

 Continue to invest in alternative energy  For the rehabilitated buildings a new series of works are to be done including the following:  Installing individual metering equipment of energy consumption  Hydraulic balancing and increasing the consumption efficiency  Changing the Elevators - New Investment Program - 30 mil euro  Consumer education campaign in order to reduce costs by improving the energy performance of buildings and their related installations



In 2018 a new Thermal Rehabilitation Program will start for the private

• houses. It is a program developed together with EIB (European Investment

bank) with an estimated investment of - 100 mil EUR.
