Single-Use One Piece Laryngoscope with Built-In Light Source NEW & IMPROVED
A recent study1 revealed bacteria on 86% of instrument handles. These handles were disinfected and designated ‘ready for use’ in hospital settings. This study demonstrates a clear potential for transmission of pathogens, and highlights a clear risk to both staff and patients.

A 2009 study published in Anesthesia & Analgesia found 75 percent of laryngoscope handles they tested were positive for
leaves pathogens that can transfer from one patient to the next.
SURE-SCOPE eliminates the time and expense of reprocessing, reducing the risk of cross-contamination by obsoleting stainless steel devices, reusable light sources, handles, and blades.
Most laryngoscope systems require assembly and testing prior to each use. Attachment of a disposable blade and verification of the light source is necessary before every intubation. Reusable handles are exposed to rigorous disinfection and harsh chemicals which compromises the integrity of the blade and light source over time.
SURE-SCOPE single-use one piece laryngoscope maintains blade
addition, there is no risk of corrosion at the electrical contact point to reduce the efficiency of the light source.
Most laryngoscope light sources burn through batteries or constantly need charging. They can be difficult to focus, making intubations harder. The cleaning and disinfecting process corrodes the electrical contact points causing the light to flicker or fail during intubation.
Never worry about light source failure again. Each SURE-SCOPE comes with a built-in ultra bright LED light source located at the distal tip of the laryngoscope blade. The SURE-SCOPE light source does not utilize a light pipe so the maximum power of the light source is fully
any damaging heat.
According to a study conducted by Southeast Health, reusable laryngoscopes can cost as much as $27.40 per intubation. Reusable devices require the facility to stock handles and/or blades. Add to that the cost of reprocessing, the units, and powering the light source.
The one piece design of SURE-SCOPE eliminates the need for additional parts and components like disposable blades or replacement parts/components. SURE-SCOPE is entirely single-use; the facility incurs no additional reprocessing expenses. Medical facilities can cut their cost per intubation to under $10.
Reusable parts and components create unnecessary liability. They elevate the risk of cross-contamination and are more likely to fail due to wear and tear. In addition, reusable parts and components add cost. They need to be reprocessed after each use and replaced when broken or misplaced.
SURE-SCOPE is an entirely single-use device; the facility incurs NO NO additional expenses.
OBP Medical conducted a study comparing the illumination strength of three single-use laryngoscope systems: OBP Medical’s SURE-SCOPE, Competitor A, and Competitor B. Of the three models, OBP Medical’s SURE-SCOPE offers the brightest light
makes both Competitor A’s and B’s product ineffective choices. Of the three products, SURE-SCOPE is is cle learly the best choice. The results from OBP Medical’s study are lis listed on the foll llowing slid lide.

Light source powered by two AA batteries (sold separately). These batteries contain over 30 times the waste of the batteries used in SURE-SCOPE. Broad spread due to the light pipe connection. Light source powered by two LR1 batteries. These batteries contain over 12 times the waste of the batteries used in SURE-SCOPE. Light source powered by three alkaline button
materials per federal E.P.A. guidelines. No light pipe and
potential of the illumination strength is realized.
*The Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland concluded that approximately 10lbs of force is needed to intubate the average patient.
The SURE-SCOPE lig light source co contains modern alk lkali line batteries.
Alkaline batteries do not contain toxic materials per federal E.P.A. guidelines. “Button” style AG3 batteries contain only enough chemistry for a single use. It would take 300 AG3 batteries to equal the chemistry volume
