Stratus Vision GmbH, a subsidiary of EPP Electronic Production Partners GmbH, is designing

and developing AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) systems and solutions since 2003. AOI is an automated visual inspection of ceramic hybrids, LTCCs, HTCCs, interposers and

• ther substrates where a camera autonomously scans the parts under test for both

catastrophic failure (eg. missing component) and quality defects (eg. fillet size/shape or component skew). This technique is commonly used in the electronic circuits manufacturing process due to the fact it is a non-contact test method and it can be implemented at many stages.

Stratus Vision provides the perfect solution for in-line and off-line inspection of ceramic hybrids, LTCCs, HTCCs, interposers and other substrates.

2.0 Lighting Solutions

2.4 Defect Detection

Finding and identifying defects is our passion but that is only the beginning. The defect information and images stored in our database are used in many ways. Reports, charts, and graphs can be tailored for every need. Defect information can be used to grade, sort, or reject material. The information can even be relayed to downstream value-added processes and then used to control these processes to maximize yield and minimize downtime. SmartView data is also used to determine the disposition, plan for slitting or converting, and suitability for use of the finished product.
