Right Sizing Work Packages

A Request for Proposals (RFP) process will be utilized to evaluate elements such as quality, capacity, financial viability, and price to determine best value for the project. Right sizing first and second tier work packages is the most fundamental element of broadening and diversifying your supplier network. All contractors will be given free access to bidding documents.

Subcontractor Default Insurance

We will use a Subcontractor Default Insurance Program to provide protection to the project, while elevating bonding requirements for sub-contractors. Subcontractors and suppliers prequalify for the program and are then matched to work packages sized for their success.

Quick Pay Options

General payment terms to vendors is net 30 days after payment is received from the City. Emerging and Disadvantaged Businesses will be paid within 7 business days of WWP receiving payment from the City of Wichita in accordance with Kansas State Law Chapter 16, Article 19. Emerging and Disadvantaged businesses will also be eligible for additional payment acceleration to help cash flow needs for developing businesses.
