2020 ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION PLAN

The 2020-2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) establishes a set of regional transportation goals and objectives, and recommends strategies— including projects— that will maintain, manage, and develop Central Ohio’s transportation system through 2050.

Why?

  • I like Atlanta's statement because it is in plain, understandable English for

regular folks.

  • My only concern with Atlanta’s is that it doesn't strongly reference recreation
  • r environmental benefits.
  • Atlanta’s felt more in reach.
  • Atlanta's statement mentions biking and walking soonest. "Active

Transportation" won't mean anything to people who aren't familiar with the jargon.

  • I like Atlanta positioning itself as a competitive region.
  • Atlanta's focus on economic competition was very unique and important.
  • Keywords: connected and safe.
