  2. 1. A DETERMINATION TO MOVE FORWARD.

  3.  And so, God willing, we will move forward to further understanding. HEBREWS 6:3

  4.  ...though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God's word all over again. HEBREWS 5:12

  5.  Let us go instead and become mature in our understanding. HEBREWS 6:1

  6.  For it is impossible to bring back to repentance those who were once enlightened – those who have experienced the good things of heaven and shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come – and who then turn away from God. HEBREWS 6:4-5

  7.  For it is impossible to bring such people back to repentance; by rejecting the Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and holding him up to public shame. HEBREWS 6:4-5

  8.  Dear friends, even though we are talking this way, we really don't believe it applies to you. We are confident that you are meant for better things, things that come with salvation. HEBREWS 6:9

  9. 2. TO SHOW YOUR LOVE FOR HIM BY LOVING OTHERS.

  10.  For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers as you do. HEBREWS 6:10

  11.  Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone – especially to those in the family of faith. GALATIANS 6:10

  12.  By this will all men know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. JOHN 13:35

  13.  Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true. HEBREWS 6:11

  14.  Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. HEBREWS 6:12

  15. 3. A SOUL ANCHORED IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS.

  16.  ...so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind. HEBREWS 6:17

  17.  This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God's inner sanctuary. HEBREWS 6:19

  18.  Jesus has already gone there for us. HEBREWS 6:20
