SLIDE 1
SPIRITUAL MATURITY
Hebrews 5:11-6:20
SLIDE 2
- 1. A DETERMINATION TO MOVE FORWARD.
SLIDE 3
HEBREWS 6:3
And so, God willing, we will move
forward to further understanding.
SLIDE 4 HEBREWS 5:12
...though by this time you ought to
be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths
- f God's word all over again.
SLIDE 5
HEBREWS 6:1
Let us go instead and become
mature in our understanding.
SLIDE 6
HEBREWS 6:4-5
For it is impossible to bring back to
repentance those who were once enlightened – those who have experienced the good things of heaven and shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come – and who then turn away from God.
SLIDE 7
HEBREWS 6:4-5
For it is impossible to bring such
people back to repentance; by rejecting the Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and holding him up to public shame.
SLIDE 8
HEBREWS 6:9
Dear friends, even though we are
talking this way, we really don't believe it applies to you. We are confident that you are meant for better things, things that come with salvation.
SLIDE 9
- 2. TO SHOW YOUR LOVE FOR HIM BY LOVING
OTHERS.
SLIDE 10 HEBREWS 6:10
For God is not unjust. He will not
forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for
- ther believers as you do.
SLIDE 11 GALATIANS 6:10
Therefore, whenever we have the
- pportunity, we should do good to
everyone – especially to those in the family of faith.
SLIDE 12
JOHN 13:35
By this will all men know that
you are my disciples, if you love one another.
SLIDE 13 HEBREWS 6:11
Our great desire is that you will keep
- n loving others as long as life lasts,
in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true.
SLIDE 14
HEBREWS 6:12
Then you will not become spiritually
dull and indifferent.
SLIDE 15
- 3. A SOUL ANCHORED IN A RELATIONSHIP
WITH JESUS.
SLIDE 16
HEBREWS 6:17
...so that those who received the
promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind.
SLIDE 17
HEBREWS 6:19
This hope is a strong and
trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God's inner sanctuary.
SLIDE 18
HEBREWS 6:20
Jesus has already gone there for
us.
