  6. FOSTERING A RESULTS-BASED MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK ¡ Vision 2030 Jamaica is operationalized through successive three- year plans known as Medium-Term Socio-Economic Frameworks (MTFs) which seek to monitor and measure progress in implementation against projected outcomes. All relevant indicators are tracked and presented in a Dashboard managed by the PIOJ.

  7. STATUS OF THE INDICATORS REQUIRED TO MONITOR THE SDGS NO. OF INDICATORS Indicators currently being 66 produced locally Indicators not currently being produced locally, but for 69 which data is available Indicators not currently being produced locally, and no data 88 is currently available.

  8. CHALLENGES AND GAPS • Limited resources in respect of the demands being placed on them though national, regional and international reporting obligations. • Loss of important human capital: inability to recruit and retain highly skills individuals in the area. • Disparity in development of indicators. • There is no established system of monitoring and evaluation at this time for the SAMOA Pathway.

  9. CONCLUSION ¡ The Government of Jamaica (GOJ) has the policy framework, the statistical practice and the institutional base to monitor the SDGs and by extension, the SAMOA Pathway. ¡ The GOJ continues to improve upon its methodologies with a view to not only strengthen local capacity but to also be able to share these frameworks with its regional and international partners.
