Dear Mr./Ms. Reference : Future Projects of the Samaj BACKGROUND: Shree Anavil Samaj is in existence for over 113 years as a charitable Trust. It is duly registered with the Charity Commissioner, Mumbai, India under the Bombay Public Charitable Trusts Act, 1950 and continues to be engaged in charitable activities in the field of Education, Medical Relief and upliftment of Women. Shree Anavil Samaj was established as a non- profit

• rganization in 1899 and was formally registered in 1903. In its

existence of over ten decades, the trust has endeavoured in development and social upliftment of the members of Anavil community as well as public in general. The donations to our Trust enjoy benefit u/s 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961 and we are duly authorised to receive foreign contributions/donations under FCRA, 2010. c) Doing such other lawful activities for the benefit of the Anavil Samaj as may be considered necessary or desirable and allowable under Act XXI of 1960. To achieve the objects of the trust, various schemes are designed to attain the aforesaid objects in legal & lawful manners, which are as under:

1.Asahay Mahila Sahay (Now referred as “ASM”) Project, inter alia includes,

* General Aid to Asahay Mahila & poor widow, * Mahila self employment scheme, * ASM medical aid as per medical insurance policies, * Swa-Rojgar Yojna By way of providing sewing Machine to needy women. The Trust is providing monetary assistance to more than 170 widows to support themselves and their families. The Trust has also started a Mediclaim Scheme (cashless Mediclaim) especially for women. The Trust has organized a special scheme titled as “Asahay Mahila Swashray Yojana” to support economically backward widows and poor women to make them financially independent by providing them electric sewing machines to assist them to earn their livelihood.The Trust is also exploring the idea of starting a scheme based on the lines of cottage industries under the name of “Hunnar Udyog Yojana” by providing seed capital to needy women to tap their talents for earning livelihood.

Reimbursement of Education bank loan interest Scholarship Providing boarding facilities for students

The Trust provides educational grants and scholarships to financially less privileged students to complete their educational endeavours. Bright students who wish to pursue higher studies in India are given interest free loans. The Trust has installed two Computer Centers in Gujarat to help poor students to get advantage of latest technology. The Trust is also running hostel for outstation students at subsidised charge. The Trust also proposes to start a Scheme for educating children of widows, divorcees and destitute women by sponsoring education/educational assistance from a dedicated funding by a sponsor donor. * The projected figure for boarding facilities is merged with 'Anavil Bhavan" project, as the existing Land & Building are utilised as registered office of the trust-cum-boarding facilities of the students. The Trust provides medical aid to economically backward patients suffering from life threatening ailments such as cancer, kidney failure and cardiac illness. The Trust organizes medical camps in rural areas such as free eye checkup, cancer detection, mental health, etc., and educates villagers on basic personal hygiene, importance of cleanliness. In Medical Camps, the Trust distributes free medicines, eye glasses, gives free treatment and health related information to the members of Public at large. The Trust also operates a fully equipped Medical Ambulance to provide basic medical services to poor Adivasis of Dharampur-Valsad Districts in South Gujarat under the supervision of Shree Satya Sai Seva Samiti, Valsad. The Trust has earmarked funds dedicated for providing financial help for kidney dialysis and kidney related diseases and has tied up with various Kidney dialysis centers in Gandevi, Valsad and Navsari. The Trust has also funded schemes for free eye cataract operations for senior citizens in Mumbai, Navsari and Valsad. The Trust has plans to raise funds for Pathological/clinical diagnostic tests and Cardiac screening for poor patients at Valsad, Navsari and Surat at affordable subsidized rates from a sponsor donor.

• 4. Jai Anavil Nibhav Fund

The income from Jai Anavil Nibhav Fund is applied on distribution of monthly magazine known as 'Jai Anavil” to apprise the members of various activities of the trust and of entire Anavil community with respect to Birth-Death, Education, achievement, various informative articles and progress of the Anavils. These magazines are distributed to members at free of cost.

• 5. Panchang Nibhav Fund

The income from the fund is applied on printing and distribution of Panchang to all the members of the trust at the beginning of the Vikram Samvat Year. FUTURE PLANS FOR CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES: The Trust is considering construction of full facility “Anavil Bhavan”. The Anavil Bhavan will be utilised to render charitable services and assistance to Anavils of all age in the form of Hostel facility to students, marriage hall, transit camp, for medically needy persons, NRI sojourn and marriage/reception occasions as also for carrying out various other social and cultural activities. The Trust proposes to provide Ladies' Hostel facilities for outstation female Anavil students who come to Mumbai for higher studies and provide them with boarding facilities at a very nominal rate. It is also proposed to acquire/hire transit residential accommodation and to provide lodging and boarding facility for NRIs coming/going from/to their native place via Mumbai as well as for families of persons residing outside Mumbai intending to undergo medical treatment in Mumbai hospitals. * This amount is proposed to be taken from the present “Land & Building Fund”. The Trust has already earmarked on various health related schemes for assisting Anavils and proposes to expand the reach by providing better medical facilities and equipments to our economically weak brethren such as wheel chairs, free medicines, etc. The Trust has always endeavoured to help our womenfolk to be financially independent and for their maintenance. The Trust has initiated various schemes for the same and also proposes to start a few more such schemes to assist them.
