- Apprenticeships combine working with studying to gain skills and knowledge in a specific job
- Apprenticeships are open to new and current employees
- Funding for apprenticeships
- Levy paying organisations – funded through the apprenticeship levy (100%)
- Non-levy paying organisations – funded 95% by government 5% by the employer
- Funding for apprenticeship programmes is via the apprenticeship Levy fund
