Adult CARI: Petition to Probation Automatic sealing convictions & non- convictions in CARI IF: Waiting period 5 yrs. -misdemeanors (including incarceration) Waiting period of 10 years -felonies (including incarceration) AND No convictions within waiting period

Commissioner cannot seal:

• Convictions of Chapter 268, 268A
• e.g. Resisting arrest, Intimidation
• Convictions of Chapter 140,§121-131H
• e.g. related to firearms
• Sex Offense convictions for Level 2 or 3 sex offenders’

• Level 1 sex offense convictions
• 15 year waiting period
• or completion of duty to register
• Convictions of Viol 209A/258E Orders
• treated as felonies (10 yr. waiting period)
