Social Emotional and Mental Health as a special education need School get judged / measured on a system called progress 8. This is a numeral values based on the point a students gain from 8 subjects. Subjects are differently weighted with some being compulsory. All the subjects are placed in categories called “Groups or buckets”

What is the scale of the need?

8% of 5 to 10 year olds had a sighs and symptoms which could lead to a clinically diagnosed mental health need 12% of 11 to 16 year olds had a sighs and symptoms which could lead to a clinically diagnosed mental health need

There are 42,143children ages between 5 and 10 which means we are similar to the national picture we would have 3371 needing support There are 27,241children ages between 11 and 16 which means we are similar to the national picture we would have 3269 needing support
