MR-2017 • Bidding Requirements (1 of 3): – Jacking and Blocking of Beams and Structural Steel Repairs Experience • 3 bridge superstructure repair projects (minimum) • 1 or more beams jacked off the bearing with portion of beam replaced by welding for each repair project • Complete bidder forms BSS-1, BSS-2 4

MR-2017 • Liquidated Damages (1 of 2): – MOT: • RMTA reserves the right to charge damages of $1,000 per every 15 minutes a lane / ramp closure is in place beyond prescribed time or lane closure is in place for more than 1 hour before or after active work is on-going. – Certified Personnel • Contractors foreman (or other on -site employee) must be properly trained. The training requirement is the “Basic WZTCT” course provided by VDOT. • If a trained employee is not on site, RMTA reserves the right to charge damages of $1,000 per day. 7
