Every licensee has to organise an internal health physics department!

Qualified Health Physics Expert

• Basic degree = Master in engineering or exact sciences
• (additional) education and training:
• Radiation protection : 12 ECTS
• Safety (sureté/veiligheid) :
• 24 ECTS (reactor)/18 ECTS other Cl. I
• 100h Cl. IIA ; 50h. Cl II (-III)
• not necessary for existing QHPE
• QHPE transport :
• 50h expert T1 (including 20 h advisor class 7)
• 20h expert T2 (including 20 h advisor class 7)

• Works either for a specific licensee (internal QHPE)
• Or as part a Recognised Inspection Organisation in Health
