He began his career in Grupo Aguas of Barcelona where he was Managing Director of the AGUAS Division, being responsible for about thirty commercial companies with an aggregate turnover of 625 Million dollars and a staff of 5,000 workers. In the international field, intervened in achieving Contracts in Colombia, Argentina, Uruguay and Cuba. In 1999 he founded OBRATUR GROUP, SA, a company of his own, since then he has been involved in the promotion of more than 3,000 hotel rooms in several countries, especially in the Caribbean Area. He has also acted in the construction, remodeling, urbanization
Hotel and residential projects with a total volume managed 2.000 M M USD. He is Founder and President of FORMULA&PARTNERS.
José María Timón
CEO OBRATUR GROUP
Graduated of Business Administration from the University of La Coruña, José María Timón joined the OBRATUR Group in 2001. Since joining the company has been the CFO of projects in Puerto Rico, Mexico and Spain. He has participated in many projects of financial structuring of hotel and real estate developments. Graduated with a degree in Economics and Business from the University of La Coruña and a specialization in International Markets and extensive training in Commercial and Corporate Law. He joined the OBRATUR Group in 2001, since assuming financial responsibility in the various tourist projects both hotels (Paradisus Puerto Rico, Excellence Riviera Cancún, Palladium Kantenah, Sandos Caracol, Sunscape Tulum…) and residential construction in different countries Puerto Rico, Mexico and Spain. Currently and after passing through various positions in the Group, CFO and Corporate Director, he assumes the post of Director General, managing more than 25 Real Estate Companies
