Lack of policy directive

• Establishment of an independent ACH Research Institute

through an act of parliament for development of Research Policy (Strategies, Programmes) Lack and fragmentation of Resources (Human, Financial, Infrastructure , etc)

• Request Treasury for allocation of funds for research,

application from external funders and partnerships.(Locally and Internationally).

• Re-alignment of structures and resources to ensure that

they are deployed appropriately. Currently databases are scattered across a number of sectors

• Develop an interactive research center to provide a

consolidated database platform.

• Development of cultural index.

Obtaining of cultural Data from other institutions. (Often declined under the excuse of confidentiality).

• Develop a chatter that ensures that stakeholders provide

data to the sector as part of compliance.

• Design, a framework that will enable the sector to gain

access to the data when required.

• Recognition of the existing archives and documentation for

cultural information Data and knowledge associated with Living Human Treasures (LHT) is under threat of not being secured for future generations.

• The requirement is therefore to identify such data and

knowledge sources in order to define and operationalise relevant domains, representative lists and identify LHT under threat of disappearing
