RELAX Wheelchair Cushion

Reminder:

• The Relax cushion is not a substitute for good skincare including, proper diet, cleanliness, and

regular weight shifts/ pressure reliefs.

• Every cushion should be trailed and tested. Skin should be examined regularly to avoid pressure

sore development. It is important to reposition the user on a regular basis.

Good Practice:

• It is recommended that each RELAX cushion is to be used with the cover provided.
• Please follow product label for set up i.e. Ensure the back of the cushion, is placed to the back of the chair
• Avoid putting additional product on the cushion as this will reduce its effectiveness.
• The cushion and cover should be inspected regularly, a damaged cushion or cover should not be used.
• To ensure maximum shelf life, it is recommended to store the cushion flat in its box.
• If your RELAX wheelchair cushion has been subjected to extreme temperatures (-20°C/-4°F or

+40°C/104°F) please allow to revert to room temperature before use.

• It is important to clean the cushion and cover between users to avoid cross contamination.
• RELAX wheelchair cushions are guaranteed against manufacturing defects for 2 years from date of

manufacture.

• Weight limits are indicated on the Relax Wheelchair cushion cover.
• It is important to note that pressure relief will be compromised as weight increases

Storage Instructions:

• Please store all products flat.
• Avoid placing heavy or sharp objects on any of the products.
• Store Products at Room Temperature

Cleaning:

• Outer Cover: Machine Wash 60°C (140°F). Dry Flat. Do Not Tumble Dry.
• Inner Cover: The Interior Cover can be cleaned using a damp cloth with a mild disinfectant and

should be cleaned regularly.

Disposable Instructions:

• Any disposal practice must be in compliance with all local and national laws and regulations. All
• packaging materials used for your RELAX cushion can be recycled.
• If returning the product, the cover should be washed and the inner cushion disinfected before
• being placed in a sealed plastic bag.

Relax Inflation Guidelines for Gelcell, Gelcell G2 and CoolCell

• Always ensure that the cushion is properly inflated and that

the user is being supported by the cushion – i.e. that he or she never touches the base of the cushion.

• If the Gelcell/Gelcell G2/Coolcell is being used by various

users, follow the steps above each time.

• It is important to use the correct cushion cover with your

Relax cushion.
