ACER Recommendation to EC published on 14th March 2013

Key Areas for SEM included

  • Flexibility for Regional Intraday Auctions
  • 2 year Derogation for SEM
  • Capacity Calculation
  • Early harmonisation of redispatch and countertrading arrangements by TSOs.

ENTSOE has since published a letter outlining its support for parts of the ACER opinion and its opposition to wording on key areas including Regional Intraday Auctions Capacity Calculation and redispatching and countertrading

The Network Code is now with the EC for finalisation and incorporation of the Governance Guidelines

  • Expected to go forward to comitology in summer 2013

ACER Recommendation to EC published on 25th March 2013

  • NC first submitted to ACER on 13th July 2012
  • ACER Opinion recommending improvements issued on 13th October 2012
  • NC resubmitted to ACER on 8th March 2013

One qualification in the recommendation relating to the significant grid user

  • test. ACER recommended using “commercially available” rather than

“commercially viable”.

The Network Code is now with the EC for finalisation
