NGR – Regulation Energy Management Option
http://www.caiso.com/Documents/Plans%20and%20schedule/2012ReleasePlan.pdf
NGR REM only resource option description
- This is typically a 15min. resource. i.e. 0.25MWh
- Demand response can utilize this model to participate in wholesale regulation
- Brief description of how AGC signal is derived.
- Brief description of 50% rule.
NGR – Non Regulation Energy Management Option
NGR Non-Rem resource option description
- This option allows a storage resource to participate in Energy, Spin/Non Spin and regulation Up/Down.
- This option will be for the resources that have a long period of maintaining generation or load sides.
- This option assumes a resource is continuous for more than 1 hour.
In August the ISO will host a workshop with market participants to review the Market Simulation structured scenarios and discuss
