The vision, why do we want this?
Helse Vest DMA Business issues ”Medical images and videos are not stored digitally - or they are stored in different departmental systems, on a USB stick or a shared file system. We do not have access to all relevant clinical information when we need it”. ”Departments simply have to collaborate in a more effective way. We want every physician involved in the patient’s care pathway to have access to all relevant information, not just the subset originating from his or her department. It is very ineffective to search for ” ”Cost pressure forces us to take action. We have too many different imaging systems from different vendors, and maintenance and operation cost is very high” ”We do not comply with regulatory safety requirements.
