An Internet Access RFP will be submitted for (100 Gigabit TO 500 Gigabit) The Service will terminate at the Region One Service Center Network Operations Center Every Consortium Member will then connect via a “Leased Lit” 10 Gigabit network or “Leased Dark Fiber” 10 Gigabit network to the Region One Network Operation Center

Fiber B Based B Broadb dband RFP

A RFP will be released for Broadband connectivity for all member districts. The RFP will request multiple pricing solutions:

• Leased lit fiber (10 Gbps)
• Leased Dark Fiber
• Network Equipment to “light” the Dark Fiber (10 Gbps)

The Broadband network RFP will specify a multiple ring configuration to provide resiliency within the network Vendors will have an option to provide multiple options based upon each vendors current fiber network

District Options

A district can participate and purchase the circuit and Internet Access A district can participate and purchase circuits to multiple district network hubs Due to the minimal cost difference between 1 Gigabit Network Equipment and 10 Gigabit Network Equipment All Network Equipment Routers installed will support up to 10 Gigabit Service The Router installed at the edge will support a Single 1,2, 4, or 10 Gigabit circuit to ESC Region One. Service can be upgraded from 1 to 10 Gigabit within 48 hour notice by District Circuit Cost are the same whether a district utilizes 1 Gigabit or 10 Gigabit and is based upon student ADA
