Fiber B Based B Broadb dband RFP A RFP will be released for Broadband connectivity for all member districts. The RFP will request multiple pricing solutions: • Leased lit fiber (10 Gbps) • Leased Dark Fiber • Network Equipment to “light” the Dark Fiber (10 Gbps) The Broadband network RFP will specify a multiple ring configuration to provide resiliency within the network Vendors will have an option to provide multiple options based upon each vendors current fiber network

District Options A district can participate and purchase the circuit and Internet Access A district can participate and purchase circuits to multiple district network hubs Due to the minimal cost difference between 1 Gigabit Network Equipment and 10 Gigabit Network Equipment All Network Equipment Routers installed will support up to 10 Gigabit Service The Router installed at the edge will support a Single 1,2, 4, or 10 Gigabit circuit to ESC Region One. Service can be upgraded from 1 to 10 Gigabit within 48 hour notice by District Circuit Cost are the same whether a district utilizes 1 Gigabit or 10 Gigabit and is based upon student ADA
