This Directive regulates the restriction of use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. Furthermore, this Directive should contribute to the health and the environmentally recovery and disposal of electrical and electronic equipment waste.

Substances subject to restrictions in accordance with Article 4, paragraph 1 and maximum concentration values ​in homogeneous materials in weight percent:

  • Lead (0,1%)
  • Mercury (0,1%)
  • Hexavalent chromium (0,1%)
  • Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB) (0,1%)
  • Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) (0,1%)
  • Cadmium (0,01%)
