RMT MTA Bri ridg dge e In Inspecti pections ons  All 36 bridges are inspected on a biannual basis  8 bridges contain fracture critical members that must be inspected on a yearly basis  14 bridges require element level inspections  9 bridges require CSX and/or NS Entry Agreements  Ability to secure agreements before inspections begin is mandatory (July 2017)  4 bridges contain submerged elements which are inspected every 5 years  A portion of submerged elements on 1 bridge is inspected every 2 years due to existing cracking  All bridge safety inspection reports shall be submitted by the GEC on behalf of the RMTA to VDOT upon completion
