SLIDE 14
Q & A
Are the MAP tests given as the state assessment in Nebraska? The MAP tests do not replace the NeSA tests. However, the MAP tests do fulfill the state accountability to administer a nationally normed assessment and they are aligned to the Nebraska State Standards.
SLIDE 15
More Q/A
What information will I get from MAP tests? Students’ scores are reported as RIT scores. The RIT scale is a nationally normed, equal interval scale developed to assist with the interpretation of test scores over time. It allows us to measure student learning over time.
SLIDE 16
More Q/A
When will I see how my child performed on the MAP?
SLIDE 17
More Q/A
Parents and students will receive a student performance report after the spring test session so they can see the extent of the student’s academic growth over the school year. Teachers will also share information about student scores at the fall P/T Conferences. Parents may also request a student report from the school.
