Project Scope of Work
- Replace existing 8”+ concrete pavement and curb &
gutter with new 10” Concrete Pavement and curb & gutter
- n an aggregate base including driveways (to the
sidewalk) and sidewalk ramps at the intersections.
- Replace deteriorated storm sewer inlets and inlet tops.
- Replace existing corrugated metal storm sewer pipes with
reinforced concrete pipe.
Project Phasing
- Road to be closed to thru traffic. Thru traffic will be
carried on signed detour.
- Properties abutting Adams between SE 37st to SE 33rd
will be carried to side streets on existing pavement or one lane access roads to side streets. Once new pavement is in place, residents will park on the new pavement until the pavement and driveways in front of their properties is constructed.
Project Detour Route
Project Bus Detour Route Tentative
- Regular route to 29th & Adams (temporary bus stop)
- West on 29th to Freemont
- South on Freemont to Golf Park
- East on Golf Park to Colfax (Avondale-temporary bus stop)
- East on Golf Park to Adams
- North back onto normal route
During Construction
- Properties that abut Adams Street will have temporary
mailboxes relocated to a central location as per the Post
- Master. Permanent mailboxes will be reinstalled after
completion of the work.
- Trash containers will be pick up weekly by the Contractor
and taken to a location for disposal by the trash hauling
- companies. Make sure the cans are out when they are usually
to be picked up.
- If there is a problem or concern, seek out the Contractor’s
superintendent or the project inspector first.
Project Schedule
The current schedule for the project is;
- Late February 2019 – Let project
- Late March 2019 – Start work
- October 2019 – Project to be complete
