  • AVMR 1 has been completed by 277 teachers
  • AVMR 2 has been completed by 237 teachers
  • A total of 9 Elementary Schools have completed all trainings in AVMR

Math Recovery – Program Evaluation Plan

Evaluation Parameters:

  • Achievement was based on Smarter Balanced Proficiency and Student Growth

Percentiles

  • Comparison conducted between the 9 schools who completed all AVMR trainings and

similar schools who have not had AVMR trainings

  • Included a comparison of the 9 AVMR schools to their predicted performance based on

free and reduced lunch rates

  • Examined Pre and Post teacher survey data to inform recommendations

Math Recovery – Recommendations

  • 1. Using the implementation rubric contained in this report, audit the 9 AVMR schools to see where implementation gaps

may lie.

  • 2. Develop a plan for full implementation with fidelity to the Math Recovery Program for each of the 9 schools.
  • 3. A number of schools across the system have had some degree of training in Math Recovery. If implementation is going

to continue, a plan should be developed to ensure implementation with fidelity.

  • 4. Future schools that want to implement the Math Recovery Program should develop a multi‐year implementation plan to

ensure implementation with fidelity. Yearly audits, using the implementation rubric, should be conducted to ensure full implementation occurs in all schools. Final Recommendation:

  • Connect the Math Recovery implementation work to the Multi Tier System of Supports (MTSS) Work Group

recommendations, and utilize a theory of action that includes developing robust implementation plans for all district interventions
