Global Programs & Partnerships

Our office manages MBA and Undergraduate International Experiential Learning Programs. Each year, we facilitate 1,400+ students and 60+ faculty & staff.

Our role in facilitating your PRIME experience
Monitor
We assess, monitor and inform groups of potential
faculty & staff for incidents and crisis response.
Organize Secure Prepare
We gather student information, set timelines for deliverables and
the program. We obtain student medical insurance & International SOS coverage. If needed, we also facilitate in any visa processes. We work closely with faculty, program office & travel agency to prepare for travel and in-country company visits.

TRAVEL ON-SITE
Round-trip airfare
(LAX to your PRIME sites)
On-site airport transfers
(A transportation company will meet the group at the airport with an English speaking guide and provide adequate transportation for the group and luggage)
On-site ground transportation Monday -Friday
Hotel accommodations
(In a centrally located, Western-style hotel)Meals: Breakfast daily; Lunch M-F
(Breakfast is buffet-style in hotel; Lunch is in a strategic location to avoid excessive travel)Program development fee for in- country partners Other Costs: Gifts for hosts, venue rentals, translation services

There are many details to be considered in addition to travel:
Providing logistics for over 200 students, faculty, and staff simultaneously traveling for PRIME Arranging meals, receptions, business meetings, presentations, and audio/visual equipment Maintaining a schedule that fits with our host's schedules Doing business with vendors/companies that can provide the service we need in a reliable and professional manner

03. Visa Fee(s) - This fee varies by destination and citizenship Overseas Insurance Fee - $47 for two weeks of coverage for those not on the USC Student Health Insurance Plan Any deviations from group itinerary or travel extensions Faculty and Staff travel costs
The PRIME program fee does not factor in these additional costs

Our office will facilitate the process by verifying if your nationality will need a visa to enter your assigned PRIME site. We also provide students with visa instructions as well as any required supporting documents for the application process.

Responsibilities
GPP Office PRIME Students
Obtain student medical insurance and International SOS coverage. Register participants with embassy/consulate of their nationalities. Prepare and send overseas database to USC Student Affairs. Assess and monitor situations in all locations and inform groups of potential risks. Prepare staff and faculty for incidents and crisis response. Coordinate pre-departure crisis response.

Our office is tasked with the responsibilities to ensure safety and security of all students, faculty and staff who participate in the PRIME program. Here is a list of our priorites -
Safety & Security Travel Preparation
Work closely with faculty and project partner to create in-country schedule. Secure flights, hotels, ground transportation and meals for PRIME trip. Coordinate in-country events and functions. Address any travel-related issues.
